Jim "Trigger" Lloyd of St. Petersburg, son of Eliza Harmon and William Lloyd, was born Jan. 16, 1907, in Louisville, Ga.

He met and married his first wife, Matty, in Louisville, Ga., in 1928, and moved to the bay area in 1934. The couple had a son, James Jr., of St. Petersburg.

Later Lloyd married, and remarried, his second wife Lena. When that ended, he married a third woman, Mary Francis. During those years, he had four more children.

He spent two years raising money to build the Church of God of Christ, now known as Faith Temple, by grilling hamburgers and hot dogs from the back of his truck.

He enjoys pingpong, fishing and decorating the St. Pete Coliseum for holidays and special events.
