Renay Curry, daughter of Linda and David Curry of St. Petersburg, received a scholarship from the National Italian American Foundation.

Curry is a 2006 graduate of Keswick Christian School. She was an AP student with dual enrollment at St. Petersburg College and was on the principal's honor roll. She was a member of the National Honor Society, We the People state champions and Who's Who Among American High School students. She attended the Poynter Institute writing workshop, completed her Microsoft Office specialist certification and received the Festa Italiana Tampa Scholarship.

Curry was a member of the golf, track and varsity softball and basketball teams. She was also a statistician for the varsity football team.

She volunteered for the church youth group, the youth athletic league coach for elementary children in basketball and T-ball and for Keswick Christian Serves.

Currently, Curry is a student at Florida State University, where she is pursuing a political science degree with a minor in Italian. Curry plans to pursue teaching government for middle or high school students, or working for the U.S. in Italy or Washington.

Dwight "D.J." Pollack son of Dwight and Debbie Pollack of St. Petersburg, graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a major in criminal justice and a 3.9 grade point average.

He graduated from the Criminal Justice Academy at Pinellas Park High School in 2002, where he was awarded a Bright Futures scholarship and was on the Dean's List.

He is a member of student government, the Student Program Board and worked for the OWL radio station at FAU, where he was also recognized on the president's list for a 4.0 grade point average. He is an Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts of America and is a vigil member of Order of the Arrow at the Timuquan Lodge, where he was a lodge chief and received the founder's award.

Pollack has volunteered for several camps of the Boy Scouts of America's West Central Florida Council and the last Boy Scout National Jamboree in Virginia.

He plans to pursue a career with state or federal law enforcement or with the Boy Scouts.
