Class 6A
Sarasota (16-9-1) at St. Petersburg (11-5-1)
Up next: Winner of Eau Gallie/Timber Creek.
The skinny: St. Petersburg defeated top-seeded Countryside last week in the district finals. Sarasota lost 3-0 to East Bay in the district finals.
Countryside (13-5-1) at East Bay (15-1-2)
Up next: Winner of Orlando Boone/Melbourne.
The skinny: The Cougars were undefeated in the district during the regular season but lost in the tourney final and now will have to travel to the Indians.
Class 5A
Plant (12-6-1) at Palm Harbor University (17-1)
Up next: Winner of Seminole/Manatee.
The skinny: The Hurricanes begin defense of their state championship. PHU blasted Plant 6-0 in last year's quarterfinals.
East Lake (16-7) at Hillsborough (13-2)
Up next: Winner of Lakewood/Lakewood Ranch.
The skinny: East Lake slipped past Hillsborough 2-1 in last season's quarterfinals before losing on penalty kicks in the next round against Lakewood Ranch.
Lakewood (9-6-3) at Lakewood Ranch (16-5-2)
Up next: Winner of East Lake/Hillsborough.
The skinny: Lakewood will have its hands full with 36-goal scorer Lindsay Thompson, who broke the school record this season.
Manatee (13-7) at Seminole (12-5-5)
Up next: Winner of PHU/Plant.
The skinny: Seminole beat Manatee last season 2-1 in the quarterfinals before losing to eventual state champ PHU in the next round.
Class 3A
Cardinal Mooney (10-7-1) at Clearwater Central Catholic (19-2-3)
Up next: Winner of Pope John Paul II/West Shore.
The skinny: Rematch of a 3-0 CCC win in the quarterfinals. Coach Tom Typrowicz returns to the sideline after missing the district tournament due to a death in the family.
St. Petersburg Catholic (12-7-2) at Fort Myers Bishop Verot (15-3)
Up next: Winner of Melbourne Central Catholic/St. Andrews.
The skinny: Bishop Verot beat SPC in last year's quarterfinals 4-1. Worse than that, Bishop Verot might be stronger this season.
Class 2A
Indian Rocks Christian (12-5) at Tampa Prep (17-3-2)
Up next: Winner of Evangelical Christian/Sarasota Christian.
The skinny: Tough draw for the Eagles against an experienced and strong Tampa Prep club. The Terrapins knocked out IRC last year in the quarterfinals with a 3-0 victory.
Cambridge (16-3) at Shorecrest (12-4-3)
Up next: Winner of St. Stephens/St. John's Neumann.
The skinny: Shorecrest won back-to-back district titles for the first time in school history with a win on penalty kicks against IRC Friday. The Chargers beat Cambridge 3-1 last year in the quarterfinals on their way to the state semis.
