Pull up a grandstand seat for tractor pulls

All kinds of tractors, some straight off the farm and others that are modified for the event, will be participating in the tractor pull that continues today and Sunday.

The annual tractor pull is at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, U.S. 41 S in Inverness, next to the airport. The tractor pull takes place at the livestock pavilion, which has a roof and grandstand seating.

Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and pulls begin at 1 p.m. Sunday gates open at 11 a.m. and pulls begin at 1 p.m. One-day tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 11.

In other weekend events:

- Pygmalion opens at the Art Center Theatre, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486 in Citrus Hills. Performances are 7:30 p.m. tonight and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $18 at the box office, which opens one hour before the show.

- The World Goes 'Round, which features songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb, continues through Sunday at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. Songs include All That Jazz, Maybe This Time, A Quiet Thing and Kiss of the Spider Woman. Danielle Flury directs, Bob Brust is musical director. Show times are 8 p.m. today; 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 at the box office 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today through Sunday, and at the door starting one hour before the show. Call 563-1333.

- Knock 'Em Dead, an audience participation mystery by Gulf Islands Civic Theatre, will be performed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the West Citrus Community Center on Veterans Drive off U.S. 19 in Homosassa Springs. There is no show today. Tickets at the door are $12. Call 527-9061.

- The Bourbon Street Concert Club, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey, will present an all-ages show featuring Mastery, Myndkill, Ways Fallen and Consinity at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7 at the door. Doors open one hour before show. Call 727 843-0686.

- A 1950s and '60s dance featuring Mary Swan (Crying in the Chapel) and other acts is 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Knights of Columbus hall, 10470 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. Admission is $17.
