Skycrest Baptist Church, 125 N Belcher Road, Clearwater: The church will host KidsFest 2007 from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 10. The free festival kicks off Skycrest's annual Global Impact missions celebration and includes inflatables, motorcycle rides, displays, puppet shows, animal presentations, games, crafts and an international food-tasting area. Congregation Beth Shalom, 1329 Belcher Road, Clearwater: The Clearwater chapter of Hadassah will hold a fundraising lunch for Youth Aliyah at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21. Linda Lerner will discuss how trauma affects children, particularly children in Israel who sought refuge in bomb shelters last summer. Tickets are $25. Call (727) 796-2225.

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1199 Highland Ave., Largo: Kali Schnieders, author of Truffles from Heaven, will be the guest speaker for Women's Day Away Retreat from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Christian Life Enrichment Center. Her program presents inspiration for meeting the challenges of daily life through examples of God's grace in her personal experiences. Registration before Feb. 9 is $25 and $30 afterward. Clearwater Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1445 Lakeview Road: The Dollar Thrift Shop is held from 9 a.m. to noon every Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday. St. Alfred's Episcopal Church, 1601 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor: The Prayers of the Bible study series is from 10 to 11 a.m. every Wednesday in Memorial Hall.
