Hot prospects: FSU needs game breakers and, despite a limited number of scholarships, has a shot at them. Marvin Austin (Washington, D.C.) is hailed as the nation's top interior defensive lineman and would be a huge get. It needs receivers who can stretch the field vertically. On the board is Ahmad Paige (Sterlington, La.), who had orally committed to FSU but backed off during the season. He is still a possibility. So, too, is Belle Glade's Deonte Thompson and Markish Jones (Spartanburg, S.C.).

Looking back: Analysts hailed last year's class, and the group lived up to the hype. Injuries forced FSU to play 17 freshmen. Key contributors included: S Myron Rolle, TEs Brandon Warren and Caz Piurowski, LBs Marcus Ball and Dekoda Watson, DE Kevin McNeil, DT Budd Thacker and DB Patrick Robinson.
