Free seminars offering advice to protect older people against common scams are being offered by the Stetson University College of Law.
The sessions take place in the Eleazer Courtroom on the Gulfport campus, 1401 61st St. S.
This Thursday, the topic is Mail Fraud. The seminar, from 10:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m., will be presented by Postal Service Inspector Linda Walker.
Upcoming sessions will be:
March 1, 3-4:15 p.m; Case Study in Exploitation in Guardianships, presented by Ed Boyer, lawyer and adjunct professor at Stetson Law.
March 8, 10:30-11:15 a.m.: If It Is Too Good To Be True: Scams Old, New and Internet," presented by Stetson Law professor Richard Graves.
Parking is available at the corner of 61st Street and 15th Avenue S, with shuttle service available from the parking lot.
