Man walking across street hit, killed by car

TAMPA - A 46-year-old man was killed Monday night while walking across the street. John Albert Harris of 12110 N Nebraska Ave. was struck by a 1994 Honda driven by Rocky Lynn Etherton, 56, of 7617 Caracal Court. The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m. at Sheldon Road and Countryside Village Boulevard. Harris was walking east across Sheldon Road when the northbound Honda struck him, a sheriff's spokeswoman said. He died at the scene.
