LACOOCHEE - Two brothers were robbed shortly after midnight Tuesday by a man armed with a 12-gauge shot-gun, according to Sheriff's Office report. John Young, 27, who lives at 38909 Coit Road, told deputies that he awoke to see his brother, Ryan Young, 22, come into the living room with a "freaked-out look" with a man behind him with a shotgun pointed at his head. The man forced the two into a bedroom, and took a Sony PlayStation and cash, the report said. The Sheriff's Office does not give estimates of stolen money during an open investigation. The brothers described the robber as about 6 feet tall, with a beard and mustache. The report said a similar robbery took place about 2:30 a.m. Monday at 38535 State Road 575 in Lacoochee, where the robber used a sawed-off shotgun. Melissa Stuckert, 28, told deputies she was sitting in the living room when a man about 18 years old and 6 feet tall came in pointing a shotgun at her before taking money and a car key from her father, Larry Hamby, 59. The man tried to steal jewelry from Stuckert, but before taking her rings, he ran. Anyone with information is asked to call the toll-free crime tips line at 1-800-706-2488.
