LOCATION: 113 S Newport Ave. at W Cleveland Street.

DEVELOPER: B.A.C.H. Land Development, LLC.

DESCRIPTION: A three-story building containing four townhomes. Homes have 2,175 square feet, three bedrooms and 31/2 baths.

PRICE: $475,000-499,000

ARCHITECT: Tobin Green

AMENITIES: Each home has a two-car garage; hardwood floors in living areas; carpet in bedrooms; granite counter tops throughout; solid wood cabinets; tile in wet areas; and balconies in master bedroom and living room.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: Developer Scott Smith of B.A.C.H. Land Development said he and partner Joe Stepanik are weathering the market's downturn by staying small and sticking to what they know best: custom home building and 4- to 8-unit townhomes. "A lot of builders out there that are larger companies are worried about the bottom line, largely because of their overhead. The customer ends up getting less of a product. For a smaller developer like us, we're able to give the customer a better product," said Smith.

TIMELINE: Construction is scheduled to begin in this month and last 10 months.

MOVE-IN DATE: December 2007.

FOR INFORMATION: Call Scott Smith of B.A.C.H. Land Development at 503-2096.
