Barons toppled by Bishop Verot

Fort Myers Bishop Verot's boys followed a girls win over St. Petersburg Catholic with a 3-2 win of their own. Senior Michael Jeffrey's header at the 75 minute mark was the game winner.

Junior Chris Castellano scored at the 26- and 29-minute marks in the first half to put SPC up 2-0.

"We attacked, we shot, but it didn't go in," St. Pete boys soccer coach Anatol Popovich said. "Sometimes, it happens. You shoot, shoot, shoot and you don't score."
