Brooksville Wesleyan Church, 8168 Jasmine Drive, will have its Pioneer Kids Club from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. There will be games, a "bouncy" and make-your-own sundaes for children 4 years old through sixth grade. Call 799-3066.


St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 7922 State Road 52, will continue its "I'm A Christian - But How Did I Get Here?" lecture series at 2 and 7 p.m. each Monday in the music/lecture hall of the Family Life Center. Pastor Whitledge will talk about how the Christian church developed from its New Testament roots, how people became a distinctive part of that church and how its faith is. Each Monday will feature a different lecture. Everyone is welcome. Call (727) 862-5646. Also, the Merry Marks organization will have its 18th annual rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday in the Fellowship Hall behind the church. There will be a baked goods table and a snack bar offering, breakfast and lunch. In addition, Russ Abrams, retired professor emeritus from the State University of New York at New Paltz, will present a lecture, "History through Houses," at 7 p.m. Thursday in the music/lecture hall. Northcliffe Baptist Church, 10515 Northcliffe Blvd., will have its "Road to Recovery" Christian 12-step recovery program at 7 p.m. each Friday. The program is based on the "Celebrate Recovery" model, which offers healing for addictive behaviors, hang-ups and hurts. Call 683-5882 or go to

The Baha'is of Hernando County will offer the "Tranquility Zone," a place of rest, reflection and spiritual refueling, with inspiring words and soothing music, at 7 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. Refreshments will be served. Christian Church in the Wildwood, 10051 County Road, will have its "Celebrate Recovery" Christ-centered 12-step program from 7 to 9 p.m. each Friday in Building D. The program helps to heal from hurts, hang-ups, habits and everyday living problems. Separate groups for men and women. Call 596-1388.
