Thomas Jefferson revisited: Actor/playwright J.D. Sutton brings Thomas Jefferson to life during a Florida Humanities Road Scholars program at 7 p.m. Central Ridge Library, 425 W Roosevelt Blvd., Beverly Hills. As Jefferson, Sutton invites you into his cabin at Monticello, Va. for a conversation about his greatest achievements and his greatest failure, his inability to bring an end to slavery.

Meeting and river talk: The Homosassa Flotilla 15-04 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m., West Citrus Community Center, 8940 W Veterans Drive, Homosassa. The agenda includes a slide show about the Homosassa River, "Aids to Navigation" talk and discussion on tide affects on the river. Lunch and learn: The Citrus County Cooperative Extension Service offers a lunch and learn series the first Wednesday of each month. Extension agent Anthony Camerino will talk about "Using Mulch in the Landscape" at noon at the Citrus County Canning Center, 3405 W Southern St., Lecanto. Acrylic demonstration: The Art Center of Citrus County will feature an acrylic demonstration by local artist Anne Welch at 1:30 p.m. at the Art and Education Building, 2544 N.
