To watch

How I Met Your Mother, 8 p.m. WTSP-Ch. 10: When the gang misses the Super Bowl, they vow not to learn the result until they can watch the recording the next day. One problem: Barney runs into Emmitt Smith on the street.

Rules of Engagement, 9:30 p.m., WTSP: David Spade and Patrick Warburton are among the cast of this new sitcom about different phases of male-female relationships as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, long-married spouses and a single guy. It's probably about as funny as it sounds.
