MACULAR DEGENERATION INFORMATION

Age-related macular degeneration AMD is the leading cause of blindness in the Western world, but through early detection and treatment, vision can be preserved. To emphasize this, Prevent Blindness America has created the AMD Learning Center at www.preventblindness.org/amd. The site offers information on risk factors and treatment, plus a downloadable grid that can help identify vision abnormalities.

25 Percent who say they have lied about following their doctor's orders or taking their medication.
