When you pose for a photograph, you expect a moment to comb your hair or straighten your collar. Except when the posed portrait is a mug shot. We see many unfortunate ones in the daily newspaper. A new show at Studio@620 620 First Ave. N, St. Petersburg, presents us with a rogues' gallery from the early 20th century titled "The Reluctant Sitter" see one example here. The show, curated by Timothy Welsh, includes a contemporary DVD presentation by Pascal Loubet that invokes the nature of the forced pose. "Sitter" opens at 7 p.m. Friday in conjunction with "Shadow Over Sunshine City," a film noir festival at the studio. (727) 895-6620 or www.thestudio@620.com.
