Apply now for grants for boating projects

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission anticipates availability of grant funds under the Florida Boating Improvement Program.

The program provides funding through competitive grants for boating-access projects and other boating-related activities on coastal or inland waters within the state. Funding for fiscal year 2007-08 is estimated to be $6.6-million.

The deadline for submitting grant applications for fiscal year 2007-08 funding is April 27. County governments, municipalities and other governments within Florida are eligible participants.
