AUTOMOBILES To report problems with new cars under the state Lemon Law, call the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Lemon Law Hot Line toll-free at 1-800-321-5366. BUSINESS PRACTICES For complaints about businesses, call the Better Business Bureau toll-free, 1-800-275-6614. CABLE TELEVISION To report problems with your cable service, call Bright House, 746-0755, or Adelphia toll-free 1-800-683-1000. CIVIL LITIGATION Free legal services for qualified, low-income residents and senior citizens: Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida Inc., 726-8512. Lawyer referral services (Florida Bar): toll-free 1-800-342-8060. CONDOMINIUMS/ MOBILE HOMES To complain about a condominium or rental of mobile home lots, call or request a form from: Complaints, Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes, 1940 N Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL 32399-1027, toll-free 1-800-226-9101. CONTRACTORS Having problems with a contractor? For state-licensed contractors, call (850) 487-1395 (press options 3, then 2, and 4); for county-licensed contractors, call 527-5349. DOGS AND OTHER STRAYS Citrus County Animal Services, 726-7660. ELECTRIC SERVICE Citrus residents should report problems with their electric service to Progress Energy, formerly Florida Power Corp., toll free 1-800-700-8744. Those served by the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative should call 795-4382. Sumter Electric Cooperative Inc. customers should call 726-3944. FOOD Restaurant complaints should go to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, 3725 W Grace St., Suite 520, Tampa, FL 33607, (850) 487-1395. LANDLORD-TENANT DISPUTES For disputes about maintenance or security deposits involving an apartment with five or more units, (no individual housing), and also for problems with hotel billing, write the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, 1313 N Tampa St., Room 106, Tampa, FL 33602.
