Aspen is a 10-week-old female buff domestic short hair. Ariel is a 14-month-old declawed female peach, brown and white tortie.

Home at Last Pet Adoptions Inc. is an all-volunteer rescue group dedicated to saving animals, predominantly cats, facing death at local shelters. There were three adoptions from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6.

Animals are evaluated for temperament and health. When ready for adoption, they are neutered, given age-appropriate shots, treated for fleas, wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV and microchipped. Choices may include Himalayan, Siamese, Russian blue, unusual mixes, tabby, tortie, tuxie, solid colored cats and kittens.

Share the love, these and other cats can be seen by appointment or at HAL's Valentine's Day cat adoption 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Citrus Pet Plaza, 7231 W Grover Cleveland Blvd., Homosassa. There is a set tax deductible donation fee for each pet; call for details.

Bring empty print cartridges to donate to Cash for Critters. Sneak a peek at their Web site, www.homeatlastpetadoptions.petfinder.com. Call 476-6832 or e-mail halpetadoptions@ yahoo.com.
