Knights of Columbus hosts pork dinner

SPRING HILL

Knights of Columbus, St. Theresa Council 11877, will host a dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the parish hall at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1107 Commercial Way.

The dinner will include roast pork, potatoes, vegetable, soup or salad, dessert and tea or coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12. Takeout orders will be available. For information, call 727 868-2289.

SPRING HILL

Major leaguers to teach youth clinics

Baseball players ages 9 to 18 can participate in the Jack Hubbard Clinic the West Hernando Little League's Freedom Field on Deltona Boulevard.

The clinic will be provided on the following days:

- 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday for ages 9-12

- 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday for ages 13-14

- 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday for ages 15-16

- 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday for ages 17-18

The baseball clinic is a preseason fundamentals workout for players ready to begin spring season baseball. Coaching will be provided in all areas, including pitching, bunting, catching, infield, outfield and base running.

All coaches are former Major League Baseball coaches or players.

The cost is $28 per player. Participants may sign up by calling 684-5831, sending e-mail to hubandsam@yahoo.com or at the field on the day of the clinic.
