Holiday closings

The following is a list of closings for south Pinellas County on Monday for Washington's Birthday.

Government

Federal offices: Closed.

State offices: Open.

County offices: Open.

City offices: Belleair Beach, Kenneth City, Redington Shores, St. Pete Beach, St. Petersburg, Seminole and South Pasadena offices will be closed. All other city offices will be open.

Post offices: Closed.

Public services

Banks: Closed.

Courts: In session.

Schools: Open.

Libraries: Gulfport and Indian Rocks Beach libraries and West Community Library at SPC will be open. All other libraries will be closed.

Garbage pickup: In St. Petersburg, Monday pickup will be on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup will be on Wednesday. All other residential pickup schedules will remain the same. Residents who contract independently with Waste Services of Florida (572-6800), Waste Management (572-8779) or another collection company should call the company for holiday schedule information.

Other closings: Facilities closed Monday include the Coliseum box office and administrative offices, Enoch Davis Center, Boyd Hill Nature Park, Business Assistance Center, Municipal Services Center, Recreation and Parks business offices, St. Petersburg Police Community Resource Centers, City Utility Payment Center, Parking Citation Payment Office, Port of St. Petersburg administrative offices, Albert Whitted Airport administrative offices, the Sunshine Center and Sunken Gardens business offices. The Sunken Gardens attraction will be open.

For water or sewer emergencies, call the Water Resources Department, 893-7261.

For police, fire or medical emergencies, dial 911.

PSTA and DART: Regular schedule.
