ST. PETERSBURG - The film Easy Street, a documentary about homeless people in St. Petersburg, is being held over at the Studio@620 at 620 First Ave. S.

It will be shown at 10 a.m. Saturday and again at 7 p.m. March 3.

Produced by two St. Petersburg filmmakers, the film debuted last Saturday before a soldout audience. People were turned away, patrons said. More than $200 was raised for the Sophie Sampson Center for Hope. Among the crowd were homeless people, activists, city officials and business owners.

A discussion after the film proved "quite lively," organizers said. Discussions also are scheduled after the upcoming screenings.

Tickets are $5, with 30 percent of the proceeds being donated to an organization for the homeless. Reserved seating is available by calling the studio at 727 895-6620.
