Published February 16, 2007

DEVELOPER: Morrison Homes.

DESCRIPTION: 148 townhouses and 533 single-family homes. The townhouses will have three bedrooms with 2 1/2 bathrooms and will range from 1,527 to 1,791 square feet. The single-family houses will have three bedrooms with two bathrooms, or four bedrooms with two or 2 1/2 bathrooms. They will range from 1,863 to 2,553 square feet.

PRICE: Homes $220,000 to the low $320,000s; townhouses $180,000s to the $220,000s.

AMENITIES: High ceilings, lanais, optional stainless-steel appliances, Roman bathtub and separate shower stall, pool with cabana and clubhouse, and three-car garages with some homes.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "Avelar Creek will only have Morrsion Homes as a developer," said sales manager Kristina Lloyd. "So you're going to have a nice consistency in architecture and home styles throughout the community."

MOVE-IN DATE: First residents arrived in September.
