Desoto Super Speedway

Location: 21000A S.R. 64E, Bradenton. Nine miles east of Interstate 75 on State Road 64 (Exit 42).

Hours: Gates open at 5 p.m., racing starts at 7, most events are on Saturdays.

Regular program: (not all classes run every week) Limited Late Models, TBARA Winged Sprints, Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Modified Minis, Mini Stocks, Trucks, Outlaw Modifieds, Bombers.

East Bay Raceway

Location: 6311 Burts Road, Gibsonton. Five miles south of Interstate 4 on Route 41 or take Exit 48 off of I-75.

Hours: Racing starts at 6:30 every Saturday. Closed July 7 and 21 and Aug. 4, 11 and 25.

Regular program: (not all classes run every week) Limited Late Models, Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Outlaw 4's, Street Stocks, Limited Sprints, 360 Sprints, Bombers.

Special events: April 20 - National Late Models; April 21 - National Late Models and TQ Late Models; June 30 - TQ Late Models; Nov. 9 and 10 - ASCS Sprints and Florida Mini Sprints

Citrus County Speedway

Location: 3600 S Florida Ave., Inverness. Two miles south of State Road 44 on U.S. 41 at the Citrus County Fairgrounds.

Hours: Races start at 5:30 p.m.

Regular program: (not all classes run every week) Open Wheel Modified, Super Late Model; Sportsman, Mini Stock, Street Stock, Pure Stock, V8 Thunder Stock, 4 Cylinder Bombers, Figure 8s.

USA International Speedway

Location: Old Polk City Road, Lakeland. Head east on Interstate 4 to exit 20 (Route 33). Go north to first left (Tomkow Road). Follow that until a T-intersection and turn right onto Polk City Road.

Hours: Races start at 5:30 p.m.

Events: There is no weekly racing but several special events. The highlights: March 10 - USAR Hooters ProCup series, Sears Auto Center 200 and FASCAR Late Model 100; March 24 - ARCA Construct Corps / PBG 250; June 2 - FASCAR Late Models and Pro Trucks; Aug. 4 - FASCAR Late Models and Pro Modifieds; Sept. 1 - FASCAR Late Models and Goodyear Challenge Late Models; Nov. 3 - USAR Hooters ProCup Series Robert H. Brooks Memorial Aaron's 250.

Prices: Frontstrtch grandstand rows 11-20 $30, rows 1-10 $25, Backstretch grandstand $20, ages 10 and under $10.
