Two indicted in men's murders

A Pinellas County grand jury on Thursday indicted the two men who authorities say killed a pair of homeless men last month. Dorion Dillard, 20, and Cordaro Hardin, 18, were each indicted on two felony counts of first-degree murder. Scott Rosenwasser, who is prosecuting the case, said both men were indicted after a brief deliberation by the grand jury. Authorities say both men shot and killed David Heath, 53, and Jeff Shultz, 43, last month. Man shot to death at Pasco home LAND O'LAKES - A 41-year-old man was shot dead outside a house in Moon Lake around 1 a.m. Thursday, Pasco County authorities said. Edward Neil Clark was found facedown on the ground outside the house at 10350 Lake Drive. As many as seven people were at the house when the gun went off, authorities said. A black pickup was seen leaving soon after. By the time sheriff's deputies arrived, only one witness remained. Clark had been staying at the house for a few weeks, authorities said. He was last arrested in December, on a charge of petty theft. The property owner, Joseph Anthony Crawley, 41, was wanted for questioning, sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said. Crawley was not considered a suspect, Tobin said. Man accused of animal cruelty A Town 'N Country man was arrested Wednesday after authorities said he starved a female German shepherd mix that he kept in a cage in his living room. James T. Lowe, 26, of 7539 Abonado Road, deprived the animal, named Jasmine, of food and water, said Hillsborough County Animal Services spokeswoman Marti Ryan. She weighed 13.75 pounds, less than half of normal, Ryan said. A maintenance worker spotted her while doing work in Lowe's apartment , Ryan said. Lowe has been charged with felony animal cruelty. Lowe is the general manager for a Panera Bread restaurant at 112 West Shore Blvd. He was released from jail on $2,500 bail. Jasmine received emergency veterinary care, Ryan said. Fires break out in mobile homes On a chilly Thursday night, two separate fires destroyed one mobile home in unincorporated Hillsborough County and left two others damaged. At 6:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a blaze at Harmony Ranch Mobile Home Park, 10321 Main St., in Thonotosassa. About an hour later, in Pleasant Grove, fires were reported at two neighboring mobile homes at Wyley Avenue and Turkey Creek Road. No one was hurt in either fire. Teen charged with 6 school burglaries NEW PORT RICHEY - A 14-year-old student is accused of using stolen keys to burglarize the River Ridge high/middle school complex six times between February and May of 2006. The student is not being named because of his age. He was arrested Wednesday on numerous burglary, theft and assault charges.

Looks like my family will be boycotting Panera. I don't need to buy the products of a firm which would employ an individual who would starve a dog right before his own eyes.
