OLDSMAR - He might have been the Polite Bandit, and he might have been the Snarky Bandit, but as of Friday, he had the cash from two tellers at Flagship Bank. Pinellas County sheriff's detectives say a man entered the bank at 4095 Tampa Road about 11:30 a.m. wearing white knit gloves and brandishing a small revolver. He ordered all five bank employees to the floor, then took an undisclosed amount of cash from two tellers. And on his way out, officials said, he stopped at the door and said, "Have a nice day." "I don't know if it's common for someone to stop as they are fleeing a crime and to wish everyone a nice day," sheriff's Sgt. Jim Bordner said. "I don't know if it was sarcasm or really wishing someone a nice day." No injuries were reported, and there were no customers in the bank, officials said. The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dingy black or dark gray hooded sweatshirt, dingy black or dark gray slacks and dark tennis shoes. After the robbery, detectives say, he fled the scene in a black Toyota Corolla with dark-tinted windows. Fast Facts: To help Anyone with information concerning this robbery is asked to call Detective Jeremy Nygren of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Robbery Unit at (727) 582-6200 or Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-873-8477.
