Golf tourney, auction set for march 13

The Lecanto High Project Graduation will hold a fundraising golf tournament and silent auction with an 8 a.m. check-in March 13 at Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club. The scramble shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are $20. This includes green fees, cart fees, silent auction and lunch immediately afterward. One guest per golfer is welcome for lunch/silent auction for an additional $20. All proceeds will benefit Lecanto High School Project Graduation. Event at CFCC on financial aid

Students who hope to attend college will be given a clear path to federal cash assistance during a free statewide event known as Florida College Goal Sunday. Central Florida Community College will have financial experts available to help complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Bryant Student Union on the Ocala Campus, 3001 SW College Road. Reservations are encouraged and can be completed by visiting www.GoCFCC.com. School district academy offered

The Citrus County School District is offering another session of the Little Red Schoolhouse Academy, a series for people interested in learning about the district. Realtors sponsor essay contest

The Florida Association of Realtors is sponsoring a scholarship essay contest that offers a total of $106,000 in funding. Seniors are invited to compose a 500-word, typed, double-spaced essay on "How Does a Realtor Professional Benefit the Community?" Rules and cover forms are available in guidance offices or at http://media.living.net. Send essays and cover form to Florida Association of Realtors, 7025 Augusta National Drive, P.O.
