An outdoor production of Sarah, Plain and Tall will be presented at Ocala Civic Theatre this weekend.

Set in the early 1900s, Sarah, Plain and Tall brings to life the story of a Kansas farmer - a lonely widower with two children - who finds love by placing a newspaper ad.

It's answered by Sarah, who agrees to visit for a month and describes herself by saying "I will come by train. I will wear a yellow bonnet. I am plain and tall." The story unfolds in a flashback to that month when they come to know each other.

Sarah, Plain And Tall is a Theatre for Young Audiences production. Show times are 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. The same schedule applies for March 3 and 4. Tickets are $5 at the door. The outdoor stage does not have fixed seating, so bring a lawn chair or a blanket.

For information or to purchase tickets, call the box office at 352 236-2274. Box office is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays when there are performances. Tickets for the show may be purchased online at www.ocalacivictheatre.com.
