FSU vs. North Carolina State
Today's game

When/where: 1; Donald L. Tucker Center, Tallahassee TV/radio: Ch. 44; 1470-AM Records: N.C. State 14-12, 4-9 ACC; Florida State 17-11, 5-9 Notable: The Seminoles have lost five straight at the worst possible time; the NCAA committee selects the at-large field based, in part, on how teams do in their final 10 games. But the committee also considers injuries and if sophomore point guard Toney Douglas can somehow return and play well, then the Seminoles' goal might be within reach. He has missed the past 4 1/2 games but has practiced with a pad to protect the fractured bone in his right (shooting) hand and is hoping to play soon. ... The Wolfpack has little depth and is young, but its starting five isn't bad. Redshirt freshman forward Brandon Costner leads the team in scoring (16.2 ppg) and rebounding (7.8); a key is how well senior point guard Engin Atsur, who has had hamstring problems, plays. ... Former Pasco High star Darrell Davis, a freshman guard, is playing sparingly. ... N.C. State coach Sidney Lowe, who missed the second half of Wednesday's game against North Carolina when he was taken to a hospital for dehydration, is expected to be back on the bench.
