Make call, talk about hurricane safety

The state's Windstorm Mitigation Study Committee will conduct conference calls 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday to allow for public comment and discussion of proposals to strengthen Florida homes against hurricanes.

The study was created by the Legislature to analyze and make recommendations regarding the state's hurricane mitigation efforts. The committee is expected to present a final report to the governor, legislature, chief financial officer and insurance commissioner by March 6.
