ARCHITECTURE

Harvard Jolly Architects, 2714 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N, St. Petersburg, announces these new projects. The Florida Department of Health in Rockledge, a 26,000-square-foot children's medical services building, $4.7-million; and Seminole Community College, a new 99,000-square-foot joint-use building consisting of classrooms, student services offices and a library at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, $19-million; and Lake Sumter Community College and Lake County, a new 53,000-square-foot library at the South Lake Campus in Clermont. Cost of the project is still to be determined.

AWARDS

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, 14000 Fivay Road, Hudson, has received the Get With the Guidelines - Stroke GWTG-Stroke Initial Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association at the 2007 International Stroke Conference.

ECOLOGICAL CONSULTING

Quest Ecology Inc., 735 Lakeview Drive, Wimauma, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Tampa Port Authority's Sovereign Lands Management Initiative Program and $7,500 from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program Mini-Grant, to perform a scientific study at Hillsborough County's Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve.

ENGINEERING

Element Engineering Group LLC, 1814 N 15th St., Tampa, has been awarded the districtwide miscellaneous design support-services contract by the Florida Depart of Transportation, District 7. Services include design of roadways, structures, intersections, signals, signing and pavement marking, landscaping, construction services and surveying, and mapping on an as-needed basis.
