Hearing on the future of three sisters springs

CRYSTAL RIVER The city Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday to consider an application to develop the Three Sisters Springs property. Developers are proposing more than 300 housing units surrounding Crystal River's best-known undeveloped waterfront property. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, 123 NW U.S. 19. CRYSTAL RIVER Leaders look at local economy The Citrus County Economic Development Council will hold its monthly executive committee meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Chamber of Commerce meeting room, 28 NW U.S. 19, Crystal River. The public is invited. INVERNESS Opinions on 911 system wanted The public has a chance to comment to the accrediting agency that is reviewing the Sheriff's Office's communications department. Call 527-7087 between 1 and 5 p.m. March 12 and a member of the assessment team will listen to comments about the sheriff's 911 center. Comments should be limited to five minutes and should concern the agency's ability to meet accreditation standards. For information about those standards, call sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Tierney at 726-4488, ext. 311. The accrediting agency is the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
