Theater/music/art

- Five local winners of the Thursday Musicale Scholarship Contest will perform in the Thursday Musicale Concert at 2 p.m. Thursday at Living Word Church on Rowan Road, New Port Richey. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted. Winners of the scholarship are: Lesley Dennis from Mitchell High; Jesslyn Kostopoulos and Christine Sexauer from River Ridge High; Alex Papadopoulos from Ridgewood High; and Martina Taylor from Gulf High.

- Mr. and Ms. River Ridge Pageant, 7 p.m. Friday at the Pasco Schools Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey.

- The Dan McMillion Jazz Orchestra will perform at 10:30 a.m. and noon March 19 for middle and high school students at the Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel. Three music students will have the opportunity to perform with the jazz orchestra. Students should check with their music teachers for details.

- High School Art Exhibit, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday through March 22 at the Pasco Arts Council, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Admission is free. A reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. March 9. Several Awards will be presented. Visitors will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite work of art, and one student will be honored with the People's Choice award at the conclusion of the exhibit. Call 727 845-7322.
