The Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling Division has various drop-off sites for recyclables. Accepted at the following sites: paper (newspaper, paper bags and flattened cardboard), plastic (Nos. 1-2), aluminum and steel cans. Mail, glossy advertisements, plastic window envelopes and colored paper are not accepted. All items must be clean and sorted into correct bins. Call 754-4112, ext. 119, for information.
