Pianist's New York debut has a local preview

Dharshini Tambiah, a graduate student in piano at the University of South Florida, gives a performance this weekend that is a preview of her New York recital debut. Her program includes works of Beethoven, Robert Helps (Shall We Dance), Scriabin and Schubert (Sonata in B-flat Major) at 7 p.m. Sunday in the fine arts recital hall on the Tampa campus. Free. Tambiah, of Sri Lankan origin, was born and educated in England. She repeats her program March 17 at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
