BELMONT/JACKSON HEIGHTS -- Lynn Roberts will be the new principal at Lomax Elementary School, effective March 12.

Roberts, 39, started her career as a teacher at Cleveland Elementary School in 1992, and then taught at Shore, Dale Mabry, Edison and Lomax elementaries. Most recently, she has been working as the assistant principal at Lomax, a math science technology magnet, where she is also teaching animation and robotics.

She replaces Cheryl Holley, now principal at Schwarzkopf Elementary.
