Brooksville Wesleyan Church, 8168 Jasmine Drive, will have its Pioneer Kid's Club from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. There will be games, a "bouncy" and make-your-own sundaes for children 4 years old through sixth grade. Call 799-3066.

First United Methodist Church, 109 S Broad St., will have its annual Attic Treasures sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10. The sale will include housewares, linens, toys, books, bikes, jewelry and clothing for all ages. Call 796-3363.

St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 8064 Weeping Willow St., will celebrate the following observances: Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, 9 a.m. each Friday through April 6, followed by the commemoration for deceased family members. Stations of the Cross will be observed at 6:15 p.m. each Wednesday and Friday through April 6; Liturgy of St. Basil the Great will be sung each Sunday through April 6 at 9 a.m. in English and at 10:30 a.m. in Ukrainian. St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 7922 State Road 52, will offer Lenten services at 7 p.m. each Tuesday through March 27, and guest speakers will discuss the topic "Who is Jesus?" The programs will follow the format of an old-fashioned prayer meeting.

The church will continue its "I'm A Christian - But How Did I Get Here?" lecture series at 2 and 7 p.m. each Monday in the Music/Lecture Hall of the Family Life Center. Pastor Whitledge will talk about how the Christian Church developed from its New Testament roots. Each Monday will feature a different lecture. Everyone is welcome. Call 727 862-5846.


The Baha'is of Hernando County will sponsor a free talk, "Tools for Combating Worry," at 7 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. Transportation is available. Call Dori Peloquin at 666-7280.

First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, will present composer Joseph Martin and feature the church's 70-voice choir at 3 p.m. March 11. Martin will direct the choir as they sing some of his sacred compositions. One of today's leading Christian composers, he has composed more than 850 anthems and has received a Dove award nomination for piano performance in contemporary Christian music. Grace Presbyterian Church, 8375 Spring Hill Drive, will continue its Lenten program, "Food and You," at 7 p.m. each Tuesday during Lent. The guest speaker on March 6 will be Joe Lemieux, owner of the Spring Hill Green Bean Organic Market.

Northcliffe Baptist Church, 10515 Northcliffe Blvd., will have its "Road to Recovery" Christian 12-step recovery program at 7 p.m. each Friday. The program is based on the "Celebrate Recovery" model, which offers healing for addictive behaviors, hang-ups and hurts. Call 863-5882 or go to

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd., will host "Walking the Mourner's Path," a national Christian bereavement ministry, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22 through 24. Christian clergy are welcome to participate in this training program of guidance and empowerment. The cost is $250, which includes materials and lunch each day.
