Downing, who has lived here for five years, has been in the funeral business for 10 years. Who's news Dr. Naveen Bikkasani with Advanced Imaging Concepts, 13063 Cortez Blvd., in Spring Hill, recently attended a conference in cardiac CT in Orlando. During the conference, Dr. Bikkasani participated in a course conducted by Atlantic Medical Imaging. The subject of the conference was the recent breakthrough in heart-attack prevention, the coronary CTA. The coronary CTA is advanced heart-scanning technology, providing the earliest possible evidence of developing coronary artery disease. The son of Dr. Aruna Medara, the director at Advanced Imaging Concepts, Bikkasani is board certified in radiology with fellowships in interventional radiology and abdominal imaging. A charter bus will leave Hernando County at 6:30 a.m. from the Hardee's Restaurant at Cortez Boulevard and Commercial Way in Spring Hill. The bus will travel to Crystal River to rendezvous with the Citrus County contingent and arrive in Tallahassee about 1 p.m. The bus will return to Hernando County about 7 p.m. This year the group is combining forces with the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce to strengthen the presence and maximize resources for a more effective trip. Local business people and government officials will visit the Capitol to address our State Legislative Delegation on issues of concern to our community. Seats are available on the bus for county residents first come, first served.
