Man scalped girlfriend, police say

A man remained in jail Monday after Tampa police say he ripped off a large portion of his girlfriend's scalp with a 6-inch kitchen knife. After the Friday attack, 40-year-old Tina D. Robinson was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital, where surgeons attempted to reattach her scalp. Hospital officials would not comment on her condition Monday. Police say Robinson and her 30-year-old boyfriend Jason Eric Tarvin had been drinking Thursday night and were intoxicated when an argument got violent. After midnight, police say, Tarvin armed himself with a knife and attacked Robinson. This is not the first domestic violence incident for either Tarvin or Robinson. Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show that Tarvin was convicted for a 1999 domestic violence battery incident and charged with battery three times in the next two years. Robinson was convicted in 2002 for domestic violence battery and in 2006 for battery. The couple had been living together at 4801 Lauber Way N in Tampa for four months before Friday's attack. people are friggen sick ....what is wrong w/you people this guy scalped his girlfriend .....and as to all the britney comments leave her alone do any of you know what is like to be addicted to drugs and all the pressure thats on her all day everyday!

sicker as time goes on? Well, I agree but I would believe scalping was more common in the past than present... Nair in the shampoo bottle is a much funnier and subtle way to scalp someone...

I agree, I have also spoken to this couple and they truly are of Indian ancestry, the slapahoe tribe like mentioned below is a very tight night tribe.

david, reading comprehension. the boyfriend was convicted one time, and was out walking around. the girlfriend was convicted two times. i guess in your anger you simply combined the total convictions between the 2 and assigned them to the boyfriend.

Convicted three times since 1999, the latest in 2006, and he was out walking around. Does that make sense to anyone? Florida is like the wild west.
