- Friday is the end of the third quarter.

- Teacher planning day is Monday. No school for students.

- Report cards will be distributed March 21.


- Special Olympics State Basketball games are Friday and Saturday in Orlando.

- The Pasco County District School Board has opened the Head Start and Early Head Start application process for the 2007-08 school year. Open Application Days will be held monthly at various sites throughout the county. The next application days for east and central Pasco will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Alice Hall, 38116 Fifth Ave., Zephyrhills, and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Land O'Lakes Community Center, 5401 U.S. 41, Land O'Lakes. Documents needed include: child's certified birth certificate; child's Social Security card or number; Social Security numbers and birth dates of family members living in the home; child's health card; documentation of TCA, wages verification or subsidized child care; protective services or foster care verification; documentation of four to six weeks of most current income pay stubs, 2006 W-2s, 1040, etc.; and proof of Florida residency. - The Centennial Middle School FFA received an honorable mention for a float in the Pasco County Fair parade. Individual exhibitors received the following awards: Animal Exhibits: Amanda Levitt, Netherland dwarf rabbit, Blue Ribbon and Best of Breed. Steer Showmanship: Wyatt Wood, first place in junior class; Blake Holtzhower, second place in junior class. Steer Show: Brittany Smith, third place in weight class; Wyatt Wood, fourth place in weight class; Blake Holtzhower, first place in weight class.

- West Zephyrhills Elementary Superkids of the Month: Sadye Brown, Jacob Rood, Landon Ogilbee, Michaela Moore, Felicity Thompson, Kelsey Barrett, Leticia Stutts, Michael Dodd, Lyle Guy, River Solmonson. - The Dan McMillion Jazz Orchestra will perform at 10:30 a.m. and noon March 19 for students in grades 6-12. Three music students will have the opportunity to perform with the jazz orchestra. Students may check with their music teachers for more details.
