County foes: Pasco no one-hit wonder

Ridgewood coach Larry Beets has raved about them. He warned Gulf coach Shaun Wiemer before the Bucs were beaten 10-0 on Tuesday. Now Land O'Lakes coach Cal Baisley knows what everyone is quickly learning.
Pasco can hit.
For the third straight game, the Pirates needed only five innings to dispatch their opponent by mercy rule.
The recent string of 10-0 wins is reinforcing what the Pirates say they already knew.
"We've got it all through the lineup," said outfielder Henry Johnson, who was 3-for-4 in Wednesday's victory over the Gators.
Johnson, the No. 7 hitter, would be correct. A night after every starter got at least one hit against the Bucs, the Pirates' depth was on full display again.
Leadoff hitter Jake Schrader was 3-for-4. Catcher Zach Maggard reached base three times. Cleanup hitter Quintin Jones had two hits and two runs scored. No. 6 hitter Jorge Jaramillo had two RBI singles. And No. 9 hitter Trevor Hobbs hit a homer and scored twice.
"There ain't an easy out," Wiemer said after Tuesday's loss.
So far, Giles would have to agree. He said his team would be green this year. Try red hot.
"They hit the ball pretty good."
