Movie credits show the jobs of "gaffer," "grip" and "best boy." What exactly are these jobs?

A gaffer is the chief electrician who designs and implements the film's lighting plan. A grip is responsible for setting up, moving and maintaining all the production equipment. This can involve mechanical rigging, moving cameras, shifting scenery and moving furniture and props. A best boy is the chief assistant to either the gaffer or the grip and is in charge of scheduling people and equipment throughout the production.
