DELTONA - Two motorcyclists died in a head-on collision, raising the number of fatalities during a popular annual bikers festival to six, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said. Deltona resident Brian Charles Greene, 31, was driving east Tuesday night when he shifted to the westbound lane in an attempt to bypass a line of cars in front of his motorcycle, according to a Highway Patrol report. Greene collided with Charles Forest Bigbee, 46, also of Deltona, who was riding in the westbound lane. Both motorcyclists died at the scene, and both were wearing helmets. Tuesday was the third day in a row that there were deaths related to Bike Week. Raymond Rios, 48, died in a crash Monday night when he was speeding and lost control of his motorcycle. A St. Augustine man died Tuesday from injuries he suffered in a Saturday night crash in Ormond Beach. Jacinto Olivio, 46, was weaving out of traffic when he lost control of his motorcycle and slid below a stopped van. He was not wearing a helmet. In Seminole County, a St. Petersburg couple, John and Laura Ann Taylor, died returning home from Bike Week events Sunday when a tire blew out on their motorcycle.

Vicki bikes really are pretty safe. Accidents are driver errors not just from the biker but also cars that like to pull out in front of bikes or don't see a biker because they're talking on a cell phone, applying make up,reading, etc.
