YMCA forming youth soccer, baseball teams

The Hernando County Family YMCA is registering participants for its youth soccer and youth baseball programs.

Soccer, for children ages 3 to 12, has an eight-week season. All games are played at Delta Woods Park on Deltona Boulevard. Children ages 3 to 7 play on Saturdays only; children ages 8 to 12 play Saturdays and Tuesdays. Cost for children 3 to 7 is $50 for YMCA family facility members and $60 for YMCA program members. Cost for children 8 to 12 is $52 for facility members, $62 for program members.

Baseball, for children ages 3 to 12, is a noncompetitive program that emphasizes skills in fielding, base running and batting. The levels are Tee-ball and Coach-pitch. The cost includes the eight-week season of play. All games are played at the YMCA on Mariner Boulevard and Anderson Snow Park on Anderson Snow Road. Children ages 3 to 5 play on Saturdays only; children ages 6 to 12 play Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Saturdays. Cost for children 3 to 5 is $50 for facility members, $60 for program members. Cost for children 6 to 12 is $60 for facility members, $70 for program members.

Cost of both programs increases $5 after Saturday. Registration ends March 16. Call 688-9622.
