It's a Surreal Brunch to salute a surrealist bunch

ST. PETERSBURG - The Salvador Dali Museum continues its 25th anniversary celebration with the Zodiac Group's annual Surreal Brunch this morning.

Ease into daylight saving time and wear your pajamas, if you wish. There will be a build-your-own omelet buffet and Bloody Mary bar from Cafe Alma, a Starbucks coffee tasting and a mimosa fountain. Tyson Marshall will be the featured performer.

The original Zodiac Group, a dozen collectors who sponsored the artist for a month each year, was established in France in 1932. Each received a work that Dali created during the month of patronship, and Dali hosted them each year at an annual feast and private auction in his studio.

St. Petersburg's Zodiac Group, which targets young professionals, started in 1996.

Participants at today's event may tour the galleries - "Dali & the Spanish Baroque" is the current exhibition - and participate in games and other entertainment.
