TAMPA - Authorities were searching Sunday evening for Joseph David Neumeister Sr., 76, who disappeared while cycling north on the Upper Tampa Bay Trail off N Gunn Highway with his son and other riders. He got separated from the group about 11 a.m.

Neumeister, who has short-term memory loss, was riding a blue 10-speed bike and wore black bike shorts, a red vest and a blue helmet. He's about 5 feet 6 and has gray hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.

I know we live in a world where we cannot offend ANYONE. But don't you think it would be helpful to know the man's race? Are we looking for a 5'6 black man or a 5'6 asian man? He wasn't arrested so no one will be upset with 'racial profiling'.
