Why approve the Penny for Pinellas now? If Rubio's homestead exempition replaced by a 2.5% sales tax succeeds, why not see if the 1/3 paid by the visitors provides sufficient funding without the additional 1% in sales tax? This time, vote No.

Yesterday the Times decscribed Norma Carlough as the "status quo" candidate, and Paul Gibson as the "change" candidate. Today the Times recommends more of the same for Clearwater. How can anyone call for a continuation of incompetence in SNAFU city?
