Today is Election Day in Pinellas County, with one countywide referendum question. A number of cities also have local elections or referendum questions.

ALL PINELLAS VOTERS:

Ten-year extension for the Penny for Pinellas, a 1-cent infrastructure sales surtax. The Times recommends a YES vote.

ST. PETERSBURG VOTERS:

1. Land-use change so Renaissance Vinoy Resort can build health club behind hotel. The Times recommends a YES vote.

2. Change charter to comply with state deadline on certifying city elections. YES.

3. Allow charter changes to comply with state and federal election law to be passed by ordinance. YES.

4. Change date City Council chair and vice chair are sworn in. YES.

5. Require City Council vacancies to be filled within 45 days. YES.

6. Correct typographical errors and obsolete language in charter. YES.
