The board of directors and staff of the Citrus County Fair Association invites everyone to the Citrus County Fair during the week of March 19-24. Our theme for this year will be Country Themes - Childhood Dreams.

We will again have our "Dollar Night" on opening night, which is Monday. Admission will be $1, rides will be $1 and several vendors will have $1 items. Belle City Amusements, the Citrus County Fair and vendors have made this night possible for you, so please come and enjoy.

Many thanks to our community for your support. We have been a "Blue Ribbon Fair" since the inception of the program, which is sponsored by the Florida Federation of Fairs.

Please visit our horticulture exhibits, adult and youth competitive exhibits, our commercial vendors and all the food vendors, which are always willing to help you enjoy the fair.

The livestock program is growing and enjoying the arena. Please continue to visit the shows and auctions so our students can continue to show their skills.

We trust you will all be a part of making the Citrus County Fair another success in 2007.

Nell Mayberry, president

Hal Porter, fair manager

Dear friends,

Welcome to the Citrus County Fair. You are joining thousands of visitors who attend this annual event for an entertaining and educational experience.

The Citrus County Fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the many crops, livestock and other agribusiness that make up Florida's agricultural industry.

As fairs are an acknowledgement of Florida's rich agricultural heritage, it is important to take time to appreciate the endeavors of youth groups such as 4-H and FFA. These exhibitions are the results of many hours of preparation and represent the finest offerings of Florida agriculture.

It requires many dedicated individuals and a lot of hard work to produce a successful fair. I am especially proud of our youth, who utilize the opportunities provided by the fair to participate in various agricultural events and programs. Whether you are a volunteer, fair employee, exhibitor or visitor, I deeply appreciate your participation and support of Florida's agricultural fairs and expositions.

Sincerely,

Charles H. Bronson,

Commissioner of Agriculture
