Two concerts to get toes tapping today

COUNTYWIDE Irish music, a salute to the military, comedy, Dixieland jazz, ragtime piano, banjo music, foot-stomping big band, happy music, family entertainment and audience participation. That's what you can expect from the Mickey Finn Show, with concerts at 2 and 7 p.m. today at Curtis Peterson Auditorium, 3820 W Educational Path, Lecanto. Hoosier Band plays from 2-6 p.m. Cost: $9. Call 637-0100. INGLIS Model aircraft take flight today The annual spring Fun Fly-In, hosted by the Nature Coast R/Cers, is at 9 a.m. today. The rain date is Sunday. The event will be at the club's flying field east of Inglis on County Road 40. Follow the signs. The event is open to all current pilots with the Academy of Model Aeronautics U.S. model aircraft hobbyist organization. Pilots briefing starts at 8:30 a.m. with free coffee and doughnuts for all registered pilots. The landing fee is $10; vendor sites are $10; spectator parking is $3. FLORAL CITY Civic group to have official guests County Commissioner John Thrumston will be the guest speaker at the Withlapopka Civic Association meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Withlapopka Community Building on Gobbler Drive. Thrumston will be accompanied by sheriff's Lt. Carlton Green, who will discuss traffic concerns, and county public safety director Charles Polisano, who will talk about code enforcement. The public is invited.
